JOIN THE BLUE — 2024
Context: Schmidt Family of Companies has real estate offices across the country. My home office, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, was looking for a new way to recruit real estate agents to our parent company, Coldwell Banker. In the past, the firm used small, simple notecards, but were left with minimal traction. The goal of this project was to create something new and attractive to potential new hires.
Process: Working in collaboration with the office manager, we first determined what information would be relevant and enticing to potential agents. Once we decided on the relevant information, I began brainstorming ways to create a visual that would be approachable and eye-catching, without risking the loss of key information. Ultimately, I chose a square trifold brochure, a design that met my goal of including all pertinent information, and still added some intriguing discoveries as it unfolded. Lastly, I focused on the layout, ensuring it was an easy and fun read, keeping the way it unfolded at the forefront of my mind.
Solution: By creating an interactive brochure, I successfully redesigned outdated materials, and gave my office the ability to recruit with confidence. The brochure combined all the best aspects of the company with attractive imagery, sure to attract top talent. Still in use, the brochure has caught the attention of many new realtors and company leadership.
